New to Christ?

Welcome

We were all born separated from God. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The wages of sin is spiritual death, eternal separation from God. Thankfully, God has made a way for you and me to find forgiveness and eternal life through his son Jesus Christ. The Bible says:

"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9

If you have not yet begun your personal relationship with God, understand that the One who created you loves you no matter who you are or what you’ve done. God’s plan for salvation is very simple to understand:

REPENT

Admit to God that you are a sinner. All persons need salvation. Each of us has a problem the Bible calls sin. Sin is a refusal to acknowledge God’s authority over our lives.

BELIEVE

Believe in Jesus Christ as God’s Son and receive Jesus’ gift of forgiveness from sin. Although we have done nothing to deserve His love and salvation, God wants to save us.

CONFESS

Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to others. After you have received Jesus Christ into your life, share your decision with another person.

Therefore, tell God that you are willing to trust Him for salvation. You can tell Him in your own words or use this simple prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I ask You to forgive my sins and save me from eternal separation from God. By faith, I accept Your work and death on the cross as sufficient payment for my sins. Thank You for providing the way for me to know You and to have a relationship with my heavenly Father. Through faith in You, I have eternal life. Thank You also for hearing my prayers and loving me unconditionally. Please give me the strength, wisdom, and determination to walk in the center of Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

What does it mean to be saved?

You are a child of god

When you invited the Son of God into your life, you became a child of our almighty God! The things of your old life have passed away and He has made all things new. God wants to welcome you into His family.

“Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God – children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13

YOU ARE SAVED BY GOD'S GRACE

Grace is defined as being given favor you do not deserve. You did not earn your salvation through good works and being a good person in general. All humans are sinners, but our heavenly Father redeemed us through sacrificing His one and only Son.

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23-24

YOU RECEIVE SALVATION THROUGH FAITH

You believe Jesus died for your sins, you believe He rose from the dead, you believe He ascended to heaven, you believe He is sitting at the right hand of God. You believe in the Trinity. You believe and you accept the Bible as infallible truth.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

YOU ARE HEIRS TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD

When you invited the Son of God into your life, you became a child of our almighty God! The things of your old life have passed away and He has made all things new. God wants to welcome you into His family.

“Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God – children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13

YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN ETERNAL LIFE

When you accept Christ, you are granted an everlasting life because of your faith. That eternal life begins with forming an intimate, close relationship with God the Father and Christ the Son here on earth, living by faith, and entering heaven for a forever relationship with the Trinity.

“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12
